“Men anpil, chay pa lou”
Many hands make the load lighter. – Hatian proverb
Haiti has had such horrible disasters in the past years leaving its people without homes, food, adequate water and medical care. In a response to the needs of Haiti, in 2013, ICA reached out to the government, met with them and asked what the greatest need was. The resounding answer was homes for children in transitions. So, ICA began a long process that ended in an amazing partnership with Haitian nationals and a U.S. Church denomination. ICA will be building a “village” that will provide a home for children on the streets; a garden to help feed everyone and teach skills; sheep to herd; a small recreational area; a well for safe drinking water (which is very difficult to fix in Haiti) and a church. This is quite an undertaking for us. Some funds have been raised but we are far from our goal. ICA needs your help and support.
